Franklin Elementary and Lincoln Middle School being honored as "State Recognized Schools" for achievement and growth!

Pullman Public Schools is pleased to have two of our great schools honored as “State-Recognized Schools” for achievement and growth in the following areas:

Franklin Elementary              High Achievement in ELA and Math Measures

Lincoln Middle School           Closing gaps and demonstrating improvement among student groups identified for support

Congratulations to the students, staff, and families of these schools. These recognitions are the result of the collaborative efforts of our entire community!

The State Board of Education (SBE), the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), and the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee (EOGOAC) worked together to revise the Washington State school recognition system. This spring, in the first phase of the new state school recognition system, 216 schools are being recognized which have demonstrated exemplary performance or who have made significant progress closing opportunity and achievement gaps in the Washington School Improvement Framework (WSIF) measures.

All 216 schools will be recognized at concurrent events in Olympia and Spokane on June 6.
